HP Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Administration is guided by the motto of “Custody, Care and Rehabilitation” of the inmates in the various prisons in the State. Presently there are 17 prisons of various categories including 2 central jail, 10 district jails, one open air jail, one Borstal jail. Eligibility
i) Educational Qualification: Should posses 10+2
ii) Age Limit: 18 to 23 years
iii) Age Relaxation applicable for reserved category, Home Guards, Freedom Fighters wards, Antodaya, IRDP etc
iv) Male Height: 5 Feet 6 inches, Female Height: 5 Feet 2 inches
v) Male Chest: 31” x 32”, Female Chest: Not Applicable
vi) Height & Chest for reserved categories check main advt

Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay requisite exam. Fee through online payment Gateway or Offline Challan
i) Processing Fee: Rs.150 for General, Rs.40 for SC/ST/OBC and IRDP
ii) Online Payment: The candidate can deposit the requisite fee through online payment gateway using credit card/debit card/net banking
iii) Offline Computer Generated Challan: If candidate interested to pay offline or unable to process online, candidate will print an offline computer generated challan and deposit fee. The bank chanrges on this case would be applicable.
