Calcutta High Court: The HC building design based on Cloth Hall Ypres, it has sanctioned Judge strength of 72, It is one of three High Courts in India formed at the presidency Towns by letters patent granted by her Majesty Queen Victori and also oldest HC in India. Currently Office of District Judge Court Murshidabad English Department issued employment notification to fill up English Stenographer, Bengali Stenographer, LDC, Peon, Night Guard, Process Server, Farash 50 posts. The HC of Calcutta was recently closed application for group d recruitment notification. Despite the name of the City having officially changed from Calcutta to Kolkata in 2001, it is an institution retained the old name.

Eligibility
i) For all posts Not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st Jan 2018
ii) For English/Bengali Stenographer (Basic Grade) age between 18 to 37 years
iii) Age relaxation 5 years for SC/ST/PH, 3 years for OBC category candidates
iv) For All posts in Group-B&C candidate must have passed Madhayamik or equivalent exam and certificate in computer operation
v) For LDC acquisition of elementary knowledge in computer operation with the ability of typing on computer as speed of 35 wpm in English
vi) For English Stenographer min speed @80 wpm in shorthand and a min speed @30wpm in typewriting from legible manuscript in English for 10 minutes and also at least a certificate in computer training from recognized institution
vii) For Bengali Stenographer Basic Grade min typing speed from a legible manuscript for 10 minutes @20wpm in Bengali and min speed @60 wpm in Bengali shorthand and also knowledge in computer operation are required and also certificate in computer training
