Eligibility
i) The scholarship shall be awarded to Indian Nationals only
ii) All Single Girl Students who have obtained 60% or more marks in CBSE Class X exam and studying Class XI & XII in affiliated with CBSE schools, whose tuition fee is not more than Rs.1500/- pm during the academic year
iii) Student must continuing school studies Class XI and XII
iv) Students who have passed CBSE Class X exam in 2018 will be considered
v) A scholar under the scholarship scheme can eligible other concessions given by school (student studying)

Scholarship Amount: Selected students will get Rs.500 per month, under the Scheme maximum period of two years scholarship shall be paid. Payment will be made through ECS/NEFT
How to Apply Single Girl Children CBSE Scholarship New Registration & Renewal
1) Students directly go above link provided
2) For first time applying Select “SGC-X Fresh Application"
3) Enter Roll Number and Date of Birth (as visible on the class X grade sheet)
4) Note down Registration Number shown on page. It is useful for uploading documents and further communications 5) Print the undertaking as provided in “Guidelines Document, fill it paste the photograph and get it attested from school
6) Prepare Affidavit as per format given in “Guidelines Document”
7) Scan and uploaded in pdf format those Affidavit and Undertaking
8) Fresh applicant need not to send the confirmation page to CBSE, advised to keep their ref as proof of successful applying. Applicants successful applied and completed the application will only be able to generate confirmation page, applicants who could not generate confirmation page are not successful and their application will not be processed.
9) In case of Application for Renewal please send duly filled and signed confirmation page to “Scholarship Unit”, CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2 Community Centre, Delhi – 110092

1) What is the definition of Single Girl Child (SGC) applicant?
Ans: Single Girl child means a girl who is the only child of their parents and there is no brother or sisters. As per the approval of the Competent Authority dated 23.07.2012
2) I am single Girl in Family. I have one brother, Can I apply for SGC scholarship scheme?

3) Whether I will require to apply for renewal of Scholarship again?
And: Yes, you have to apply for renewal separately.
4) what are the reasons of rejection of application?
Ans: the rejection may be due to application not in proper format and non enclosure of relevant certificates
5) I have received a cheque which is going to invalid today only. How can I get a valid cheque?
Ans: Normally CBSE sends cheque through partner banks by post and chances of delay are not there. However in such case you may send to cheque to CBSE scholarship branch for getting a valid cheque
